This year, we’ll be operating our Christmas Festival similar to our fall festival—selling admission tickets in advance (or at the gate) and setting a single reasonable price allows us to share the very best of the farm while keeping a more farm than amusement park experience. We’re offering 4 ticket types so you can choose the best fit for your family and your visit. See more below.
For over 55 years family and friends have made Rancho Siempre Verde a lively and beautiful place to enjoy Christmas. We invite you to make our family farm part of your Christmas tradition this year.
Make a day of your visit to the farm—bring your family, friends, dogs, and good cheer! Make a beautiful wreath, take a tractor ride, enjoy the big swings and tube slide, roast some marshmallows, picnic, and find the perfect tree while slowing down and taking in the fresh coastal air and really enjoying this holiday tradition.
*Dates and times are rain or shine, unless there are severe storm warnings. In the case of severe storm closure, we will post an announcement here, if it is not posted here we are open. Check the Weather Report here.

FARM Activities
About Our Christmas Trees
At Rancho Siempre Verde we grow a variety of choose and cut your own trees including: Douglas Fir, Monterey Pine, Sequoia, Incense Cedar, Arizona and Leyland Cypress.
This year we will again have some precut Noble Firs and Nordmann Fir for sale to augment our home grown trees stocks so that we can continue to provide you with the highest quality and greatest diversity of trees. These precut trees are from another family tree farm and one of the most trusted sources in Oregon, where these trees flourish, and will be freshly cut and placed in water immediately upon their arrival.
As always you can choose and cut from the regular stock of trees at our farm or you can choose one of these precut trees. Either way we guarantee you will be getting a real, fresh and beautiful tree to bring into your home.
Types of Christmas Trees
You will discover a nice variety of evergreen trees at Rancho Siempre Verde. The eight most common types are:
CHristmas Tree Care
Because all of our trees are fresh, they will last longer than precut ones bought on a lot. They will, however, stay even fresher if you re-cut the base and place it in water when you get home. If possible, keep the tree outside in an open but shaded area and spray it with a hose daily until you are ready to decorate it.
Cutting a Christmas Tree
Unlike trees bought at a tree lot, all of our trees are coppiced or stump cultured. This means that by leaving a few bottom branches on the tree, you make it possible for another tree to grow from the same stump. This way the tree continues to live and flourish year after year. If you look at the base of most of our older trees, you can find many trees that have been cut from the same stump. So please leave bottom branches to keep the trees living. We supply the saws and are more than happy to help if assistance is needed.
Why a Real Tree?
It seems that the battle between real and artificial Christmas trees is almost as old as the tradition itself. The debate started with the first artificial trees that were in fact invented in the 1930s by a toilet bowl brush company.
